The idea of “Start-up” in business has gained momentum among young entrepreneurs, especially in India during last three years. Many youngsters whether IITians, MBA graduates or even young girls had given great ideas which were transformed into profitable business ventures. The question is whether startup idea is only meant for young entrepreneurs?

Mr S K Rao, a retired Indian Information Service Officer of 1984 batch started a small & medium scale enterprise “Medtronic Biolead Systems” in Hyderabad in February 2017. The company signed a technical know-how agreement with the CSIR-North East Institute of Science & Technology (NEIST), Jorhat a unit under Ministry of Science & Technology on 7th July 2017 to manufacture and promote herbal mosquito repellent products.
In a period of one year, the company launched the products as a green initiative on 26th June 2018 at Jorhat, Assam
The Director of the Institute and Senior functionaries of CSIR also released a brochure on Herbal Mosquito Repellent Vaporizer and Herbal Mosquito Repellent Candle
Unlike the other mosquito repellent products on the market, the CSIR-NEIST developed products have herbal and natural essential oils as ingredients. There are no harmful chemicals in the products.
The products will be on the market soon after completing the statutory formalities.
